Your Rights to Access or Delete Your Personal Data (POPIA)

In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), you have the following rights regarding the personal information that ZigZags (Pty) Ltd collects from you:

Right of access (Section 23): You may request confirmation of whether we hold any personal information about you and, if so, a copy or description of that information (including details of any third parties who have received it).
Right to correction, deletion or destruction (Section 24): You may request that we correct, delete, or permanently destroy your personal information if it is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading, unlawfully obtained, or if we are no longer authorised to retain it.

ZigZags (Pty) Ltd will process your request as soon as reasonably practicable (normally within 30 days). We may require proof of your identity before releasing or deleting any information. There is normally no charge for these requests, although a reasonable prescribed fee may apply in certain cases (we will advise you in advance).

Important notes

We will not delete information if we are legally required to keep it (for example, for tax, accounting, or order-fulfilment records).

If we cannot fully comply with your request, we will explain the reason and, where possible, offer a partial solution.

How to submit your request

Complete the Data Subject Request Form below (or download and use the official Form 2 from the Information Regulator for deletion/correction requests).

Attach a clear copy of your South African ID, driver’s licence, or passport (as proof of identity).

Email the completed form and ID copy to our Information Officer at hello@zigzags.co.za (or use the contact form on this page and clearly state “POPIA Data Request” in the message).

We treat every request confidentially and will confirm receipt within 2 business days.
